First, bring your dashboard into edit mode by selecting the pencil in the right corner (dashboard options).

You should notice a menu drop down from the top of the dashboard containing different element options.

Single Metric: This selection will allow you to add a visualization to your board starting with a single metric. Selecting this choice will display two options:

  • By Data Source: search metrics to add to your board by browsing connected data sources
  • Custom Metric: search metrics that you have calculated with our formula builder
  • User Defined Metrics: search metrics that you have added to your metric library. These are typically operational metrics found from sources like the document reader or manual entries.

Sheet: The custom metric builder is a flexible, powerful feature that allows you to run calculations with any single or smart metric (visits * .02 to set a conversion goal) or blend different data sources. Do this by clicking any metric, then adding any operator to the formula bar. Once you've completed your formula, give it a name. Toggle this metric on in any of your dashboards and view the data in the real time.

Table: Tables allow you to compare an infinite number of metrics and view them in multiple formats, whether that be a true table format (spreadsheet-esque) or graphical format.

Text: Sheets allow you to add any metric to any "cell" on a table. Functionally sheets can have any number of rows and columns. Sheets allow for the highest amount of formatting flexibility within Malartu dashboards.

There are infinite possibilities across these different metric types.
