Users can choose between four types of metrics for dashboards, investor connections, or reports. These metrics are:
Single Metrics: These are simple metrics pulled directly from your integrated data sources, similar to how you might see them in the UI of that data source. ie. Visits from Google Analytics or Accounts Payable from Quickbooks Online.
Smart Metrics: These are pre-built metrics automatically calculated by Malartu. These metrics incorporate a formula of some sort and often provide deeper analysis than what's provided by Single Metrics. These metrics often combine different data sources and require multiple data sources be integrated in order to calculate. Open Chart Options and click "View Sources" to see which programs Malartu recommends connecting.
Custom Metrics: The custom metric builder is a flexible, powerful feature that allows you to run calculations with any single or smart metric (visits * .02 to set a conversion goal) or blend different data sources. Do this by clicking any metric, then adding any operator to the formula bar. Once you've completed your formula, give it a name. Toggle this metric on in any of your dashboards and view the data in the real time.
Tables: Tables allow you to compare an infinite number of metrics and view them in multiple formats, whether that be a true table format (spreadsheet-esque) or graphical format.
Sheets: Sheets allow you to add any metric to any "cell" on a table. Functionally sheets can have any number of rows and columns. Sheets allow for the highest amount of formatting flexibility within Malartu dashboards.
There are infinite possibilities across these different metric types.
