Although Malartu is great for automating reports and dashboards, there are plenty of times users need to manually update metrics, whether because they need to make adjustments or the metric itself was designed to be manual.
We wrote a post on data disfluency you should check out in our blog. This idea can be an incredibly powerful one for getting your clients to truly learn the meaning behind their numbers.
To manually update any chart or table, start by clicking the "i" icon in the top right of any card.
This will flip the card and display a list of options.
Click "Manually update this table"
This will now display a popup module containing editable fields for each display increment you were viewing on your table.
Clicking "more.." will display more dates, allowing you scroll back in time.
When you're finished updating metrics, click Done, and flip the card back over to view your changes.
Note: Updating a metric manually will only update the value corresponding to that specific date. This means that if you were to make an adjustment to a metric that had previously been imported via a native integration like Quickbooks, you will need to update each day of data (since Malartu pulls data on a daily basis).
Updating metrics manually is most useful with specific operational metrics that cannot be updated, we will learn how to quickly create and add these metrics in the next module.
